Background
Frapett produces very unique and high-end office furniture, sound absorbers with PET or Basotect material. They wanted to spread its brand to more countries. It's important to find a way to optimize products and create more value.
Research
It was a multidisciplinary team having people from design, enigeering and business field. So the whole process were split into 3 phases. Each phase had a main focus on one disciplines.
Different methods were applied in each phase. A list of ideas were analyzed and narrowed down from more than 30 to 1.
Concept
The waste material could be cut into different pieces and then be redesigned into a new way of wall art.
During the test, there were three shapes that could use as much waste material as possible and also suit different requirements of a new pattern.
